Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! Thanks to all students for excellent performances in our Pre-UIL Concert on Thursday night. We received great comments from the judges and we hope our band families and friends enjoyed the concert! Congratulations to our Jazz Band for earning straight 1’s at the Temple Jazz Fest yesterday! (highest ratings possible). Congrats to the students and Mr. Kwaku and Mr. Kreger for their fine teaching! The next contest for this group is Sat. April 9th in San Antonio - best of luck!

UIL CONCERT AND SIGHTREADING CONTEST IS APRIL 20th and 21st.
Contest is at Copperas Cove High School. Parents / Family are encouraged to attend and may accompany the band in the sightreading room as well. No admittance or parking fees.
Performance day/times for each band:
Symphonic & Concert Band (combined) - April 20 at 11:30am
Wind Symphony - April 21st at 9:00am
Wind Ensemble - April 21st at 4:20pm

BHS BAND BOOSTER CLUB MEETING / BAND BANQUET INFO.
Our next Booster Club Meeting will be held on Monday, April 4th at 6:30pm in the BHS Commons. The agenda will include executive committee nominations and banquet planning.
Our Banquet Committee is hard at work making plans for our May 20th event! Banquet ticket sales will open online on Monday, April 18th. Parent and guest tickets will cost $30, band student tickets will cost $20, and senior band students will be admitted at no charge.

AUDITIONS FOR NEXT YEAR’S BANDS - APRIL 25-28
We will have auditions for all current 8th-11th graders April 25-28 after school. Music will be available to all this Wednesday, March 30th. These auditions will determine band placements (scheduling) for the 2022-2023 school year.
