Dear M100 Family,
Another great week at school! All bands are progressing well and our Winter Guard is doing an awesome job with their show preparations! They have their first in-person contests on Saturday, March 13th at Davenport High School - San Antonio. See the band calendar for address and times. Come out and support these hard-working students! Their shows are awesome!
Congratulations to all of our students who participated in the UIL Solo & Ensemble contest this past Thursday and Friday. We had 19 qualifying students for State level competition. To qualify, these students had to earn a Superior rating (1) on a memorized Class 1 solo or a 1 on an ensemble (doesn't have to be memorized) There were also many other Superior and Excellent performances - judge’s sheets will be distributed to students tomorrow at school!
These students qualified to move on to the State level of competition in May:

Concert Wear for all Band Students
From Mrs. Fothergill
The fittings for concert wear will be completed this coming week. Students will be issued a tuxedo (pants, jacket, and bow tie) or a black floor-length gown. If your student is wearing a gown, they will need to wear black, closed-toe shoes. If your student is wearing a tuxedo, they will need to provide their own white dress shirt, tall black socks, and solid black dress shoes. Men's white dress shirts can be found at Walmart or ordered from Amazon. Your student will dress in their concert wear on April 1st, so thank you for making sure your student is prepared before that date. (Uniforms will stay at school)
Here is a link to an appropriate white dress shirt for students wearing the tuxedo:
