2023 UIL REGION 8 MARCHING CONTEST RESULTS
On Saturday, October 14, the Marching 100 performed at the UIL Region 8 Marching Contest at Midway High School. At this competition, we received Division “1” ratings from all 3 judges, meaning that we have qualified for the UIL Area D Marching contest on Saturday, October 28 in Pflugerville! This contest will determine which groups from our Area will advance to the UIL State Marching contest!
PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR AN EARLY REHEARSAL TIME ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28. WE DREW EARLY SO WE ARE LOOKING AT A POTENTIAL CALL TIME BETWEEN 6AM-8AM!
You can watch a video of our UIL performance by clicking HERE! (Thank you Mr. Pulley and Mr. Morehouse!)
ELIGIBILITY CHECK HAS PASSED!
The most recent eligibility check was on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 14 AT 4:25PM. YOU CAN STILL LOSE YOUR ELIGIBILITY EVEN IF YOU PASSED THE FIRST ELIGIBILITY CHECK. ANY STUDENT WITH A GRADE BELOW A 70 IN AN ON-LEVEL CLASS WILL BECOME INELIGIBLE THE FOLLOWING WEEK. NO FOOTBALL GAMES, NO MARCHING CONTESTS.
STUDENTS ARE STILL REQUIRED TO ATTEND REHEARSALS IF THEY ARE INELIGIBLE. In the event that a student regains their eligibility, attending rehearsals will prevent the need to catch up after three weeks.
Students that had failing grades in an on-level class on Friday, October 13, will become ineligible beginning on Friday, October 20 at 4:25pm. These students will not be allowed to attend the following events:
10/27 FB @ Chaparral
10/28 UIL Area D Marching Contest
11/4 FB vs. University (Senior Night)
Students that were ineligible at the last eligibility check will regain eligibility if all on-level grades were a 70 or above on the date of the next eligibility check, which is Friday, October 13. Eligibility will be reinstated on Friday, October 20th at 4:25pm.
All students that are eligible at the next eligibility check will be eligible for the rest of the semester.
The next eligibility check will be Friday, November 3rd at 4:25pm. Students that were ineligible at this time can regain their eligible status for the remainder of the semester on Friday, November 10 at 4:25pm.
10/27 AWAY FOOTBALL GAME @ CHAPARRAL HS
Our next football game of the season will be an away football game against Chaparral HS in Killeen. You can view the itinerary for the game by clicking HERE, or by checking the “Itineraries” tab on the front page of the band website!
I have also included a link to the itinerary where family and friends can purchase tickets for the game!
PLEASE EMAIL boostercalendar@gmail.com IF YOU HAVE ANY UNIFORM ISSUES!
VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED
Parents and guardians, please click on the following links to access the sign-ups for volunteering throughout the season! The M100 would not be the organization that it is without the support of the parents and boosters, and volunteering your time is one of the best ways to keep the M100 going strong!
THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS DONATED AND VOLUNTEERED SO FAR THIS YEAR! THE M100 WOULD NOT BE AS SUCCESSFUL AS IT IS NOW WITHOUT YOUR HELP!!!
PREVIOUS INFORMATION AND UPDATES
SNACK DROP OFF
If you would like to drop off snacks and drinks for our upcoming games and contests, you can do so on Tuesdays after our band rehearsals. Drop off location will be at the band hall. This week we are on the lookout for sweet snacks! (Gatorade Zero/Powerade Zero, Skittles, cookies, fruit snacks and non-melting sweets!) Thank you so much for your support of the M100!
M100 AFTER SCHOOL REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
The M100 calendar has been updated with all of the rehearsals for the upcoming school year. You can access the calendar on beltonmarching100.com/calendar. Here are a few things to keep in mind regarding these rehearsals.
Any anticipated conflicts need to be communicated to a director ASAP! If you know of any conflicts, please email kevin.kwaku@bisd.net.
There are various construction projects occurring between the band hall and our practice field. More effort will be needed to arrive at the practice field on time for rehearsals.
Throughout the season, we will be hosting guest clinicians to assist in elevating the quality of our program. These individuals have experienced a great deal of success in the marching activity. In order to make the most of these opportunities, we MUST have quality attendance at these rehearsals. Please avoid conflicts with the following dates.
Wednesday, October 18, 5:00pm-7:00pm with Manny Maldonado (Cedar Park HS, CTJ HS, Belton HS Program Coordinator)
