Dear M100 Family,

We are now in the part of the season where we will have back to back contests every Saturday. We have a limited amount of time to make strides in our program, so we need to be more focused and efficient than ever before.

Here is your weekend update!

INFORMATION AND UPDATES

ELIGIBILITY MATTERS – PASS YOUR CLASSES!

Congratulations to the vast majority of the M100 for passing the first eligibility check!

HOWEVER…

…the 2nd eligibility check will be on Wednesday, October 8 at 4:25pm. Since this is the official end of our grading period, students that were eligible at the first grade check can still lose their eligibility. M100 students are encouraged to keep all grades above a 70 at all times in order to prevent the risk of failing.

Students that are failing an on level class at the next eligibility check, EVEN THE STUDENTS THAT PASSED THE FIRST ELIGIBILITY CHECK, will be unable to attend the following events:

  • Friday, October 17 – AWAY Football Game @ University HS (Waco
  • Saturday, October 18 – UIL Region 8 Marching Contest
  • Friday, October 24 – HOME Football Game vs. Rudder HS (Homecoming Game)
  • Thursday, October 30 – HOME Football Game vs. Waco HS (M100 Senior Night)
  • Saturday, November 1 – UIL Area D Marching Contest (State Qualifying Marching Contest)
  • Friday, November 7 – AWAY Football Game vs. Brenham HS
  • Monday, November 10 and Tuesday, November 11 – UIL State Marching Contest

VISTA RIDGE RESULTS

The M100 placed 13th overall at the Vista Ridge Marching Festival, missing finals by 3 placements. While we had the strongest run of our season so far, we also received a lot of feedback from our adjudicators on what we need to improve. We have another week to improve our show before the next contest, so let’s make the most of it!

10/15 EVENING REHEARSAL ON WEDNESDAY

Due to the next two weeks being shortened by Fall Break, we will have an evening rehearsal on Wednesday, October 15. We do not usually have rehearsals on Wednesday evenings, so please plan accordingly. This is the week of our UIL marching contest, which determines whether or not we advance to the area round, so it is important that everyone is at all rehearsals this week.
